Our Story
Your hosts are Dave and Nikki, who came to Waiheke to search for a wedding venue a number of years ago and left with a burning desire to move to this idyllic island (we found a wedding venue too!). It took a couple of years to find exactly what we were looking for in a home and we were very excited when this unique property was listed.
We were immediately struck by the sense of peace and tranquility and a deep connection to the land itself. While our location is very central (5-10 mins to each of the ferry terminals and shops) you get a real sense of being secluded from the rest of the world, particularly when staying in Papa and Rangi yurts.
One of our favourite things to do is sit on the deck, admiring the view with a glass of Waiheke wine and observing the various bird and wildlife at play. We see (and hear) Tuis, Kingfishers, Hawks, Parakeets, Waxeyes, Pheasants, Pukeko and Paradise Ducks to name a few! You can often see bunnies bobbing through the olive grove with our cats Mimi and Lola hot on their heels! There are sheep and cows in neighbouring fields which all adds to the rural ambience.
